Self-Archiving Policy

Self-Archiving Policy for UJLBM

TMP Universal Journal of Law, Business, and Management (UJLBM) is committed to supporting open access and ensuring that the research published in the journal is widely accessible. As part of this commitment, we allow authors to self-archive their work in accordance with our self-archiving policy, which facilitates broader dissemination of scholarly articles and encourages the sharing of knowledge.

  1. Author Rights to Self-Archive

Authors of articles published in UJLBM retain the right to self-archive their work under the following conditions:

  • Pre-Print Version: Authors may self-archive the pre-print version (the manuscript submitted for peer review) of their article on their personal or institutional repositories, provided it is clearly marked as a pre-print.
  • Accepted Manuscript (Post-Peer Review): Authors may self-archive the accepted manuscript (post-peer review, pre-formatted version) of their article on their personal or institutional repositories. The accepted manuscript may not be the final, formatted version, which is the version published in the journal.
  • Publisher's Version (Final Published Version): Authors are not permitted to upload the final, published version of the article (the version that includes the publisher's branding, formatting, and typesetting) to any repository, unless agreed upon with UJLBM.
  1. Repository Guidelines

Self-archived articles should adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Articles may be deposited in personal websites, institutional repositories, or other scholarly repositories.
  • The article should include full citation details, including the title, authors, journal name, volume, issue, page numbers, DOI, and a direct link to the article on the journal's website.
  • Authors are encouraged to include a statement that the article is under an open access license (Creative Commons Attribution [CC BY]) to ensure that proper credit is given to the authors and the publisher.
  1. Open Access License and Self-Archiving

All articles published in UJLBM are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license allows authors to freely distribute and share their articles, including self-archiving in repositories, with the condition that proper attribution is given to the original publication.

  • The CC BY license also allows others to reuse and remix the content, provided they give appropriate credit and indicate any changes made.
  1. Embargo Period

To maintain the sustainability and visibility of the journal, UJLBM may impose an embargo on the final published version for a limited period. The embargo period, if applicable, will be communicated to authors upon acceptance of the manuscript. During the embargo period, authors are allowed to self-archive the accepted manuscript but not the final published version.

  • Embargo Period: Typically, the embargo period for the final published version is 12 months from the date of publication. After this period, authors are permitted to self-archive the final version.
  1. Institutional Repository Agreements

Authors with institutional repository agreements are encouraged to consult with their institutions about the best practices for self-archiving. UJLBM supports institutional repositories and will work with institutions to facilitate the dissemination of research.

  1. Compliance with Self-Archiving

By submitting an article to UJLBM, authors agree to comply with this Self-Archiving Policy and the terms outlined above. Authors must ensure that the self-archived version complies with the guidelines and licensing terms set by the journal.

This Self-Archiving Policy is subject to change, and any modifications will be communicated to authors in a timely manner.
