- Responsibilities of Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and does not contain plagiarism or self-plagiarism. All sources of information, including direct quotations, paraphrased material, and data, must be properly cited.
- Accurate Data: Authors must present accurate and reliable data. Fabrication or manipulation of research data is strictly prohibited.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their work.
- Authorship: Authors should include only those who have made a substantial contribution to the research and manuscript. All authors should approve the final version of the manuscript and take responsibility for the content.
- Human and Animal Rights: Authors must ensure that their research involving human participants or animals complies with ethical standards. Informed consent must be obtained for human research, and animal studies must adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Dual Publication: Authors must not submit a manuscript to UJLBM that has been published elsewhere or is under review by another journal. Manuscripts should be original and not under simultaneous consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Withdrawal of Articles: Once accepted, authors must adhere to the journal’s policies regarding article withdrawal. If an author wishes to withdraw their manuscript after acceptance, they must provide a valid reason to the editorial office.

- Confidentiality: Editors must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and its contents throughout the review process. They should not use information from submitted manuscripts for personal advantage.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors must disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from decision-making if they have a personal, professional, or financial conflict with the manuscript under consideration.
- Final Decision: Editors are responsible for making the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript, based on the peer reviewers’ feedback and the quality of the manuscript.
