Article Withdrawal Policy

Article Withdrawal Policy

The TMP Universal Journal of Law, Business, and Management (UJLBM) aims to maintain the integrity of the academic record. This policy outlines the circumstances under which an article may be withdrawn and the process for doing so.

Definition of Article Withdrawal

Article withdrawal refers to the removal of a submitted or published manuscript from the journal’s website and online databases, usually at the request of the authors or the journal.

Circumstances for Article Withdrawal

  1. Author-Initiated Withdrawal (Before Publication):
Authors may request to withdraw their manuscript before it is published. Valid reasons may include:
    • Submission to another journal without notifying UJLBM.
    • Significant errors discovered after submission.
  2. Journal-Initiated Withdrawal (After Acceptance or Publication):
The journal may withdraw an article under the following conditions:
    • Evidence of research misconduct, such as plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification.
    • Ethical violations, including breaches of authorial or editorial responsibilities.
    • Legal disputes or copyright violations.
    • Serious errors that render the article’s findings invalid.

Withdrawal Process

  1. Pre-Publication Withdrawal:
    • Authors must submit a formal withdrawal request via email to editorujlbm@gmail.com, including the manuscript title, submission ID, and justification for withdrawal.
    • The editorial team will review the request and inform the authors of the decision within 5 business days.
  2. Post-Publication Withdrawal:
    • If misconduct or ethical violations are identified, the editorial team will notify the authors of the issue and provide an opportunity for them to respond.
    • If withdrawal is approved, the article will be removed from the journal website, and a withdrawal notice will replace the article, explaining the reason for removal.

Withdrawal Fees

UJLBM does not charge fees for withdrawing a manuscript. However, authors are urged to ensure the integrity of their work before submission to minimize unnecessary withdrawal requests.

Withdrawal Notice

When an article is withdrawn after publication:

  • A withdrawal statement is issued, stating the reasons for withdrawal.
  • The withdrawn article is marked accordingly in all relevant databases.

Alternatives to Withdrawal

In some cases, corrections or retractions may be considered as alternatives to withdrawal, especially if the article can be salvaged with amendments or additional clarifications.

Ethical Compliance

The journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure that all withdrawal requests are handled transparently and ethically.
